My first fly alone. by David moreno

I’m going to talk about my first fly alone in the Halcones school.
It was in the 20th of June of 2012, I flew to Armenia with the captain Simon Mazurek.  I was really excited about that because it was my first time alone.  I felt a bit of nervous because I just had only twenty hours of training, so for me was like apply all my knowledge but myself.

That morning we left Cartago and we went to Armenia.  While we were flaying the Captain told me that if I could do three touch and go landing perfectly, he would get off the air plane and then I could fly alone.  After we did the first touch and go landing the captain told me that we should stop and land the plane.  When we arrived to the parking zone the Captain asked for the authorization for me to fly alone and he told me good fly and good luck.

I took the controls of the plane, my heart was beating really fast and then, I remember When the air controller man told me, “Halcones 735 you are clear to taxy to the holding point runway 20 “  So I did it.  While I was on the way I had many thougts like I was happy but scared because it was exiting but at the same time dangerous. I kept going, I was clear to take off, so I did my fly and I also did three touch and go landing.  When I stop, the air controller man and the captain instructor congratulated me for my good job.  Then we drank a soda and we went back to Cartago where the captain hit me with his belt, cut me hair and wrote my t-shirt the date of this day and congratulations.

I received my ensign of pilot.  All of that meant a lot for me, I was really happy and proud of my self because the things that I always wanted to do weren´t in my dreams any more.
