Course 4 Peer Correction by Juan Manuel Montoya

Read two of your classmates’ texts and help them check the following:
  • Paragraph Structure
        A paragraph is a group of sentences.
  • Sentence structure 
I       get up early             .
  • Subject-verb agreement
The verb corresponds to the subject → He are is a student.
  • Capitalization
Use CAPITAL letters at the beginning of sentences, questions, days of the week, months of the year, and proper names (people and places)
They get up at 8:00 on Sunday to go to the Colombo Americano.
  • Punctuation
Use periods at the end of sentences (never use commas) → I love Sundays.
Use commas to separate three or more items in a list → I like documentaries, soap operas, and cartoons.
Don’t use a comma for two items → I like documentaries and cartoons.
  • Use of vocabulary for Telling an anecdote
Your classmate uses verbs in the past, time expressions for the past, the vocabulary studied in class, and the structures studied.
  • Coherence
Your classmate’s text is well organized and easy to read and understand.
  • Spelling and other aspects

Check the spelling of words and other aspects that you consider important.
