Anecdote by Paola Buitrago.

Anecdote.

When I had my fifteenth birthday, I went to Argentina with my cousin Diana. Firts, we were in Bariloche, but the weather was very awful. We didn't want to get out of the hotel. In every corner was a chocolate store where they gave us chocolate. We saw many beautiful big St Bernard dogs that had a little barrel with whiskey, but I was fifteenth years old. I couldn´t drink alcohol but I could take a photo. We went skiing although there was little snow because it was November and at  this time in Argentina it is spring. After that, we flew to Buenos Aires. One day at night we went out of the hotel to visit the center. We walked along a pedestrian way similar to Carabobo Street or Junín Street above the subway. We crossed a sewer. This sewer was an air ejector. I was wearing a dress. The air of the sewer lifted my dress. The sewer was very large maybe three square meters. My cousin and i didn’t run just trying to get the dress down. The people and the gorgeous argentine men laughed. It was a big embarrassing moment.

MY HORRIBLE VACATIONS

One day when I was 10 years old i wento to Envigado for a soccer final match. I arrived at 7:30 am because the coach wanted us to get there early.
I the training my partenrs were very nervious and so was I. The coach said:”Calm down,we can win.” In the first minute of the match was very hard, the other team was very good, but my team and I were able to control the situation. In the second time my team score a goal . I was very happy. Time later the other team had a corner, when they resumed the game a player from the other team did aslide tackle and tripped me, making me fall on my shoulder.
My parents took me to the hospital, after that they did some x-rays to describe the fracture . When the exam´s results came back, the doctor said:” He has a little fisure on the humer´s head.”And he told me :”Stay home,no sports and you arm must relax.”But the doctor didn´t know I traveled in 10 days to Coveñas.

Time later my family went to Coveñas, but I had a plaster in my shoulder. It was the most horrible vacations in my life. All my family enjoyiede except me. I stayied in the hotel and do nothing, I watched T.V and saw the other people having fun.

The travel lasted one week, this week was horrible. I was bored  all the time; but It was an experience, not good, but fun just to tell, because that was the worst vacacions from the history.

MY FIRST TRIP TO GUAJIRA By Alejandro Aguirre

MY FIRST TRIP TO GUAJIRA
By Alejandro Aguirre

I was many times in the Gaujira. Because my mother´s husband is from there.
My first trip to this department was when I had six years old I went with my brother, my mom and her husband.

The first town where we stayed was San Juan del Cesar. In this town lives the family of my mother´s husband. We were there a week. Every day, my brother and I went to walk around the town before lunch. After that, we played soccer in the street.

At lunch time I was happy because I like seafood but my brother hated lunch because he didn´t like seafood. After those days, we were in Villanueva for four days. In this town, there are many tourist sites but there aren´t good hotels so we stayed in the house of a family friend.

My mom was very happy because she likes the mores of this town. My brother and I toured in bicycle many sites. The sites that I remember the most are the river Villanueva and bathhouse Castillo Escondido.

Finally we were in Valledupar for five days. However, we didn´t enjoy of this town because my brother was sick of his ears so we spend two days the hospital. After that, we went to visit many sites, for example the park “Leyenda Vallenata Consuelo Araujo Noguera” and the square “Alfonso Lopez Pumarejo.”

After almost three weeks, my brother and I returned to Medellin. My mom and her husband had to stay over there working.

This was a memorable trip, because it was the first time I traveled on a plane. From Valledupar to Medellin.

Memories of my Childhood.
By: Franklin Betancur Hoyos.
One of the most memorable times for me was the time of Halloween. I
remember several of the costumes that my parents put me. The first one
was a cowboy costume when I was 4 years old. One year after i was a
fantastic American super hero which story was about a man that became
a super hero on an alien encounter although that superhero was
clumsy his show was very funny. Then when i was 6 years i dressed up
as another super hero who was very popular it was Superman. But my
favorite Halloween dress and the one that I really enjoy was the
Batman one because I never missed his films and premiere.

For example, I was in the house in the country and I saw the horses with braid in the tail, one morning.  When I was child loved play with my cousins for all the country house. Although us feeling scared for the witches.

When I was little I used to steal bread and panela off the kitchen and eating it on the stairs of my house with my brother. Those times were great!

When my sister Maria Isabel were born, my brother and I had lots of envy. We hide her clothes. We were very naughty. That’s fun!

I remember when I was 5 years old, I played in my neighborhood with my classmates of the kindergarten.  I'm very screamer every time I lose a game, and my grandmother scolded my friends for making me cry. Nevertheless I always won.

Also, my siblings and me were a Scouts, we went out the city for go camping. At night always sleep outside in the same tent with them, we scared for to noise to forest. We pray together.

                            My first Trip to Cartagena

When I was 6 years old, I went with my family to Cartagena. We went by bus and it was terrible because the weather was hot and my mother got sick. I was so exitited.

Every day in the morning at 6:00 am, we went to the beach. My sister and I always ate an ice cream, and my parents drank a big beer. It was very funny!

At lunch, we always ate fish and chips. It was delicious. I didn´t eat chicken or anything. We only ate seafood. We love it!

We went snorkeling, and it was amazing because it was my first time. One day we visited The Castillo San Felipe de Barajas. It´s a fortress in the city, and is a wonderful place. It was very interesting because we learned a little history.

My family and I went to the aquarium in Islas del Rosario. It is a hour form Cartagena. There were a great number of different species and we saw a show with trained dolphins.

The trip was unforgettable and my family and I always talk about the trip. We have beautiful memories about it. ¡The beach and the water are amazing!

Once in a trip with my family when I was 7 years old we went to Tolú on December. I loved to be well dressed then I dressed socks, pants, underwear T-shirt, shirt, shoes and a cap on Tolú.

In that trip the weather was really nice and I remember that I walked in the seaside around 3 kilometers with my mother, my aunt and my cousins almost every day. After that we went back to the cabin and we had dinner.

Me and my cousin enjoyed searching for starfish in the sea and we saw the crabs at night too.

One night we were in the seaside around of a campfire we made a BBQ and spent time in family and I took a firestick to scare my cousin. Then I got my middle finger burned, so I began to cry and I ran to my mom. I felt a lot of pain then we went to a drugstore and we bought a burn ointment.

When I used de burn ointment I felt so good and i shown my middle finger to everybody all the time.

I remember that in that trip I forgot my favorite cap and was so sad.

That trip was so much fun.

My childhood

I remember my childhood with joy. I was surrounded by my family and friends, and we shared many activities together.

When I was nine years old, I started theater classes, and I had learning pleasant experiences. I enjoyed with my classmates when we chose the costumes, and we presented the plays our parents.

After class, we visited my grandmother at home. There I met with my cousins and we played a lot. Then we went to eat at a restaurant, and we went home again.

The next day I woke up early, and I went to skate. Some time later, I had a bicycle, but I didn’t know how to ride it. I had once an accident that left a scar. But when I learned to ride, I was happy because I could go out in the streets with my father and my sister.

When my sister grew up, we played a lot at home. I remember in one of those games, I cut some hair from my sister because I was supposedly her stylist. Obviously, she and my mother were surprised and angry with me.
Sometimes we remember that moment, and we can't stop laughing.

I really enjoyed my childhood, and I have wonderful memories.

SOME OF MY MEMORIES

1.    I remember my first steps, it was something brilliant although I did fall a lot and would cry when this happened. I was only 2 years old and I loved to walk all over the house. Sometimes I even hid from my parents!
2.    I also remember when I was 3 years old at my parents wedding. There was a big delicious white cake and it looked very interesting to me. I got close to it and messed it up with a knife and also I ate a lot of it, when my parents saw what I had done they got mad at me and I got in trouble.
3.    Another memory I have of when I was little is when I started my first day of school, my teacher was very kind, but everybody was scarred just like me. However, it was a wonderful day because I met the whole school and I remember my classroom was very beautiful because it had a lot of drawings and pictures on the walls.

4.    I also remember that I loved to put on costumes for the day of the children. My parents would take me to Halloween parties where I would get a lot of candy, and I would meet a lot of different kids who wore costumes of many different characters. I would have a lot of fun playing with them.

5.    With this photo I remember when I went to the beach for the first time with my family. The weather was very hot so I swam a lot. We would run on the beach and we also played volleyball. We went to a restaurant where we ate fresh fish caught at sea. I didn't like it very much it had too many bones.
6.  Here I remember my first soccer team and that my coaches name was Fabio. He was very strict because my team mates were very inordinate. I went to practice twice a week after school.

These were some of my childhood memories that were important to me.

Anecdote. Eloisa Echeverri Farley

When I was five years old , on january vacations my parents decided to take a trip with my sisters and me. We went to tolu-coveñas, when we were there my mom said.”We are going to the mud volcano.”My sisters and I were  excited  because we had never been there before, and immediate we said yeah!. besides because some uncles and cousins were at this place.

When we got to the volcano, we went into the small one and the rest of the family were in the big one, because this volcano was the best. I had a wish to go to the big volcano and I said to my mom, “please I wanna go to the big one with my uncle memo.” She said, “yes.” But my mom didn’t want to go downstairs because she didn’t want to get dirty with the mud, so she called my uncle to catch me , she taked my hands and threw me down . My uncle couldn’t reach me and I went deep down on the mud, at this moment all the people were scare and they started to search me introducing  their hands in the mud. They didn’t find me until after 10 seconds, when finally my uncle found me and took my hair. Those 10 seconds were eternal  for my mom, and it is a very sad history because when my mother remembers that moment she thinks I would have died.

Sofia Giraldo H

This is my first memory from when I was a little child.

I was 4 years old and I went with all my family (parents, brothers and sister, cousins and uncles) for the first time to United States of America. Obviously I didn’t know English for that time. I was so excited, I going to meet the characters of Disney World!! But first, we went shopping in a mall with some relatives who live there. Then we entered to a technology store, where they sold: TV, PC, recorders, stereos, speakers, and etcetera. There was a TV turned on passing a program for children. It was a cartoon show and I decided to stay there and see it. After a few minutes later, I turned to look for my parents and they weren’t there! But I thought they were somewhere else in the store and I stayed there in front of the TV. When I realized that my parents weren’t there I got really really scared, I panicked. I got up to look for them but they weren’t there, they left the place since long time ago. Like I said before, I didn’t know English in that time so I could ask anyone. Then, I saw them coming through the door and I felt a great relief. My mother was scared, happy and also angry because she told me before not to go far away from her.

Chilhood memories

My name is Durley Salazar.  My mother is Otilia Agudelo.  My father is Pedro Salazar. I was born and I grew on a small village in Antioquia.  We were a big family. I have 15 siblings but 6 of them passed away. When I was in elementary school, I was very introverted.  I didn’t talk. I didn’t play with my classmates but I was the best student all the time. I only had 2 friends in my childhood and their names were Monica and Etelvina. Etelvina travelled with her parents on another village and she never come back. I only spent the rest of time in elementary school with Monica. She was my best friend.  I had my first boyfriend when I was 15 years old. But it wasn’t a serious relationship because we only talked and walked  when we met each other.  He wrote me letters.  He visited me three times in one year because he lived in Medellin city.  He kissed me only one time and for this reason we broke up.

Then, I moved to Medellin city.  I finished high school and I started university.  When I finished university, started to work and then I married me.

Two years latter, my daughter Laura was born.

Personal experience

Juan Pablo Perez Ramirez.

When I was 10 yeas old I remember that I was at the farm with my cousins, when one of them asked me the favour to helphim to ride a horse but he didn´t know horse riding.

As my cousin couldn´t horse riding I had to ride with him.First we were away from the farm, my cousin and I were happy and smiling; but when we were arriving at the farm, the horse  went crazy and I lost control; the horse ran all round the farm and in a moment it was going to pass between two short and coppiced trees. I could duck the tree but my cousin couldn´t. After than my cousin fell to the ground. Then I went to see him  and he had all the face hurted and his face was bleeding. After that my father and my uncle cleaned his face.

I remembered this day because since then I never horse riding to with anyone for more than five years.

Six years later I rode with a Spanish cousin on a horse at the same farm and it was successful, but I was very scared because I remembered my cousin´s accident.

One day camilo and me went to a mud lake for have some fun there, the lake was far from the town, we have been playing about two hours, and we wanted to submerge our bodies on the mud, first we submerged the legs and then we were submerged until stomach, it was all very funny, but when we tried to leave the situation became bad, we weren’t able to leave, we tried to leave but we submerged more, in that place there wasn't houses or people close, we were alone, camilo was crying and he got out first, then he tried to help me but it was difficult. He said me: “I go to call your brother”, and i answered: “not, the town is far, we can to leave, come on.” We were very scared, that was terrible, but we were finally able to leave, after that we swam in clean water to cleanse us, now camilo and I were very happy, and then we went home. It was a nice day, a funny day, and that was a day we will never forget.

MISCHIEF

MISCHIEF

When I was a child I lived next to my stepfather’s job. He had a pantry of recycling. There were newspapers, magazines, junk and old toys. I played in the cellar with my brothers and we always found something new to do. But my mom didn’t like that we played there because we always got very dirty.

One day we found a golden ribbon and we played mummies. We wrapped the ribbon around our bodies and we played all day. When we finished playing we were completely golden as the tape released its color, so I decided to look like an Egyptian queen and I painted my entire body with the golden ribbon.

When we came back with my mother she was very angry and she made me take a shower in the backyard with a hose, but unfortunately the paint I could not get the paint off my body. We were punished very strongly and I also had to go to school for a whole week with the skin covered in gold, so all my classmates laughed at me.
